Team and roles
Invite people to a workspace and decide what each of them can do.
Invite someone
Go to Settings → Members and choose Invite member.
Enter their email address and, on the Advanced plan, pick their role.
They get an email with a link to join. Until they accept, the invite is listed under Pending invitations, where you can revoke it.
Invite link is the alternative to email: create a link, share it however you like, and anyone who opens it can join. Give it a name so you remember where you shared it, and revoke it when you're done.
Owners and admins can invite people. Your plan sets how many people a workspace can have: Standard is for one person, Pro allows three, and Advanced has no limit. See Plans and billing.
Roles
Roles are part of the Advanced plan. On Standard and Pro, everyone who joins is a member, and members publish directly.
| Role | What they can do |
|---|---|
| Owner | Full access, including billing and deleting the workspace. The person who created it. |
| Admin | Manages members, billing, API keys and every workspace setting. Can't delete the workspace. |
| Manager | Runs channels, posts, campaigns and approvals. No access to members, billing or API keys. |
| Member | Creates and schedules posts, and requests approval to publish them. |
Each role can do everything the one below it can. A few things worth knowing:
- Publishing. On Advanced, members can't publish on their own: their Post now and Schedule become Request approval, and a manager, admin or owner signs the post off. See Approvals.
- Channels. Owners, admins and managers connect, reconnect and disconnect channels. Members use them.
- Settings. Members can read most workspace settings but not change them.
The full list of permissions, which also applies to API keys, is in the permissions reference.
Change a role or remove someone
On Settings → Members, open the member's menu to change their Role or Remove from workspace. Removing someone doesn't delete their posts.
To leave a workspace yourself, choose Leave workspace. The owner can't leave; delete the workspace instead, from Settings → Team.
When there are more people than the plan covers
If a workspace has more members than its plan includes (after a downgrade, for example), the extra people are paused, not removed. A paused member can still sign in and read everything, but can't make changes. Owners and admins choose who holds the plan's seats: choose Make active on the person who should.
