Post, thread, poll and quote on X (formerly Twitter).
Connect
Choose X under Settings → Channels → Connect and sign in to the account. Any X account works.
What you can post
- Posts and threads. A thread you write in the composer publishes as a thread. The character limit follows the account, so an X Premium account gets the longer one.
- Images, a video or a GIF. Up to four images, or one video, or one GIF from GIF search.
- Polls of two to four options, open from five minutes to a week.
- Quote posts and replies to an existing post, by pasting its link.
Options
- Who can reply: everyone, people you follow, people you mention, subscribers, or verified accounts.
- Made with AI: X's label for AI-generated media, on posts with media.
Inbox, analytics and engagement
- Inbox: replies and mentions.
- Analytics: impressions, likes, replies, reposts, quotes, link clicks and profile visits, per post. X charges for every read, so posts are read five times over their first 30 days, and follower counts once a day.
- Auto-engagement: comment, like and repost.
- Auto-DM: built, and waiting on X's approval of direct-message access.

Good to know
- Links cost reach. X shows posts with a link in them to fewer people. Use Move link to reply to put the link in a reply under the post. See Links.
- Plan allowances. X charges for every post, and much more for one with a link, so each plan includes a monthly X allowance. See Plans and billing.
- Duplicates. X refuses a post identical to one the account posted recently.
