# Slack

> Post messages to a channel in your Slack workspace.

## Connect

1. Choose **Slack** under **Settings → Channels → Connect**.
2. Approve the Orbitwrite app for your Slack workspace. You need permission to install apps there.
3. Pick the channel to post to.

The same Slack connection is used for [notifications](https://orbitwrite.com/docs/guides/workspace/notifications#slack), so connecting once covers
both.

## What you can post

Messages with text, link previews, and up to ten images or videos. Useful for internal announcements, or a community
workspace.
