# Bluesky

> Post, thread and quote on Bluesky, on bsky.social or your own server.

## Connect

Choose **Bluesky** under **Settings → Channels → Connect**, enter your handle (such as `you.bsky.social` or your own
domain), and sign in on your server's page. Accounts on self-hosted servers work too.

## What you can post

- **Posts and threads.** The 300-character limit counts the way Bluesky does, so an emoji counts as one.
- **Images**, up to four, each with alt text, or **one video**, or a GIF from GIF search.
- **Quote posts** and **replies**, by pasting a post's link.

## Inbox, analytics and engagement

- **Inbox**: replies and mentions.
- **Analytics**: likes, replies, reposts and quotes. Bluesky doesn't report impressions.
- **Auto-engagement**: comment, like and repost.
- **[Auto-DM](https://orbitwrite.com/docs/guides/grow/auto-dm)**: message people who repost or reply. A channel connected before Auto-DM needs
reconnecting once to grant the chat permission. Bluesky only delivers DMs from accounts people follow, unless they've
  opened their DMs to everyone.
