# Schedule and planner

> See every post on a calendar, in a list, or as a board of stages, and move them around.

The **Schedule** and the **Planner** show the same posts, in the same stages. Use whichever suits the job: the
calendar for *when*, the board for *where it's got to*.

## Schedule

The schedule has two layouts. Switch with the layout button.

- **Calendar view**, by **Month** or **Week**. The week view is an hourly grid. Campaigns show as bars across the days
  they run.
- **List view**: every post in time order, with its channels and status.

Drag a post to another day or time to reschedule it. Click an empty slot to write a post for that time, or choose
**Add…** to drop an existing draft into it.

The ring at the top tracks your weekly posting goal across channels.

## Planner

The planner is a board with one column per stage:

**Drafts → Needs approval → Needs revision → Approved → Planned → Scheduled → Posted**

A post is in exactly one column, and approval outranks timing: a scheduled post that's still waiting on a reviewer
sits in **Needs approval**, not **Scheduled**, even though it will still publish on time if it's approved.

In the first four columns you can drag cards to put them in your own order, which is useful for a backlog of ideas.
**Switch planner view** toggles between the board (**Posts view**) and a **List view**.

## Filter

Both pages filter the same way. Choose **Filter** to narrow by:

- **Status**: one or more stages.
- **Tags** and **Campaigns**.
- **Post score**: the grade from the [post score](https://orbitwrite.com/docs/guides/composer/post-score), so you can find scheduled posts that
  still need work.
- **Other**: posts with comments.

The channel picker shows one channel or several.

## Act on several posts at once

Choose **Select**, tick the posts, then **Add to campaign**, **Tag**, request an approval, **Approve** or **Reject**,
schedule or **Delete** them together. Anything that can't be done to one of the selected posts is skipped and you're
told which.

## Card actions

Every card has a menu with the actions that apply to it: **Schedule**, **Plan…** or **Unplan**, **Post now**,
**Approve** or **Reject** for reviewers, **Ungroup** to split a multi-channel post into one post per channel, and
**Delete**.
