# Campaigns

> Plan a run of posts around one launch, event or theme, generate them with Orb, and measure them together.

A campaign groups posts that belong together: a product launch, a hiring push, a conference week. Each one has a name,
dates, an icon and colour, and its own page with every post in it and how they did.

## Create a campaign

Go to **Campaigns** and choose **New campaign**. Give it a **Name**, **Dates** and a description, then add posts to it.

- From the composer, set the post's campaign in **Info**.
- From the schedule or planner, choose **Select**, tick posts, then **Add to campaign**.

A campaign's dates decide its status: **Scheduled** before it starts, **Active** while it runs, **Completed** after
its end date. Campaigns show as bars across their days on the [schedule](https://orbitwrite.com/docs/guides/scheduling/schedule-and-planner).

## Generate a campaign with Orb

> **Note:** AI campaigns are part of the Pro and Advanced plans.

Choose **Generate campaign** and Orb walks you through it:

1. Paste a website or blog link, or describe what you're promoting.
2. Choose the accounts to post to, **How many posts per platform**, and the **Duration**.
3. Choose whether to **Adapt content for each platform** or use the same content everywhere.
4. Review the summary and choose **Generate posts**. Orb writes the posts in your [brand voice](https://orbitwrite.com/docs/guides/workspace/brand-voice),
names the campaign, and times them across the date range.

A generated campaign waits for approval as a whole. Its posts sit in **Needs approval** with their times set, so you
can read and edit every one first. Then someone who can approve:

- **Approves** the campaign, and its posts join the schedule at their times.
- **Rejects** it, and its posts go back to drafts, unscheduled.

## Measure a campaign

A campaign's page reports on its posts together: totals for impressions, engagement and clicks, the best post, and a
breakdown by network and by format. Add `{{campaign}}` to your [link tracking](https://orbitwrite.com/docs/guides/composer/links#link-tracking)
parameters to see the campaign in your web analytics too.

## Duplicate or delete

From a campaign's menu, **Duplicate** makes a new campaign with the same name, description, colour and dates, but no
posts. **Delete campaign** removes the campaign and every post in it from Orbitwrite. Posts already published stay
live on the networks.
